James Wyld Stationary System

 

I created a stationary system for myself based on elements of my own art as well as segments of the Fibonacci Sequence, a mathmatical pattern relating to growth and propotions of the natural world. 

 

Fibonacci heavily informs both my design as well as fine art work, making it an easy choice to base my personal identy upon. I also used elements of the grid as it is part of both my fine art and design practice.

 

The color scheme draws from common compositons in my paintings. Here I thought the bright orange was intruging, especially in the envelope, as most orange envolpes contain bad news. I wanted to take that color back as a positive and make it a pleasant suprise.

 

Helvetica was also used to reflect my style as artist/designer as it represents a strive for perfection in form and compositon.

 

In short, I wanted to hint at my personal style and artistic ideas, while remaining simple, clear, and bold.
