The Roots Phrenology poster 

Phrenology is the fifth studio album

of the Hip Hop/Soul band The Roots. 

This poster was designed as a reaction to problems with the promotion and release of the album as well as an answer to growing problems within the music industry. The modern musician has new problems in an age of downloaded materials and therefore must have new tools. Along with the art and poster the piece could also be distributed with download  codes to allow fans to access the music and musicians to access fans.
